Dr. Katherine Munt Joins Family Medicine

Granger Medical is pleased to announce the addition of a new Family Medicine physician to our group, Dr. Katherine Munt. Dr. Munt is board certified in Family Medicine with a special interest in preventative medicine, and works to help her patients make lifestyle changes that can protect them from disease, rather than just treating illness and disease when it appears. She enjoys working with all ages and stages of life, and is able to provide basic health services to your family regardless of age.

Dr. Munt received her medical degree from the University of Utah in 2008. Previously, she was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Utah State University. She completed her residency in 2011 at the Family Medicine Residency Program at the University of Alabama, School of Medicine in Huntsville, Alabama, at which point she became board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She continued her special interests in female medicine and completed a Fellowship in Obstetrics at the University of Alabama.

With the growing need for family doctors, we are glad to be able to add Dr. Munt’s skills and services to Granger. She will be able to act as a primary care physician for many insurance programs, and can provide basic services such as acne treatment, adolescent care, annual exams, anxiety treatment, arthritis care, asthma solutions, birth control, bladder problems, cancer screenings, childhood diseases, cholesterol management, depression, diabetes, earwax (cerumen) removal, headaches, hypertension, immunizations, infant care, intrauterine device (IUD) placement, joint injections, minor injuries, mission physicals, osteoporosis/osteopenia, pap smear, pediatric care, physical exams, preventative care, prostate care, senior care, sexually transmitted diseases, thyroid disease, ulcers, urinary tract infections, warts and well child exams.
