  • The Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles and meeting organizational goals in support of Granger Medical Clinic practices and work in a collaborative manner with GMC operations and supporting departments. It will be the specialist’s responsibility to successfully and efficiently implement an electronic inventory management tool across the GMC sites, thinking strategically to both support current operations and foresee future needs.

  • Remain open to input, make observations and offer guidance to physicians, providers, management, and support team
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Responsible for participating in operational meetings
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction and continuous quality improvement activities


Essential Functions and Duties

  • Design and implement an appropriate, effective, efficient, electronic inventory management tool
  • Work with clinic management and supporting team members to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions to address opportunities
  • Ensure adequate, just-in-time, inventory to meet physician and provider productivity goals
  • Ensure minimal waste through just-in-time inventory management systems across clinics and service lines
  • Develops and implements inventory control procedures including but not limited to, a daily inventory analysis that supports current operations and future growth and established PARs specific to each department and/or service lines’ needs
  • Ensures the project and department goals are met in alignment with approved budget through work with operational management and supporting departments
  • Promote and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Interface and collaborate with interdepartmental management and teams, including, but not limited to: QI, IT, EMR, and Ancillary Services
  • Ability to meet inventory needs in alignment with the clinic and/or service line growth, both in the immediate area and beyond the current market, as opportunities are presented


Education and Experience

  • 2 years of experience in inventory management with one of those years in a supervisory role
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience managing departmental budgets
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records programs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving healthcare environment
  • High degree of problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • High school degree, bachelor’s preferred

  • Required lifting up to 25lbs
  • Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment
