Dr. Couldwell has always been fascinated by the practice of Endocrinology and the continuous advances in this field which have allowed for improved patient care. She has a special interest in pituitary and thyroid disease, as well as metabolic bone disease, osteoporosis and women’s health. She has devoted much of her time to patients with Diabetes Mellitus Type 1 and follows the American Diabetes Association guidelines and the application of up to date diabetes management modalities.
She favors a multisystem comprehensive approach to endocrine problems and patient care in general and feels strongly that patient education is an essential element of delivery of care.
