2015: Granger Medical welcomes a number of practices to its system including Asthma & Allergy Clinic of Utah, Parkway Pediatrics Parkway Family Medicine, Gynecology Affiliates of Utah as well as the newly created Summit Urology Group.

2014: Granger Medical opens its Tooele clinic. Wasatch Internal Medicine merges with Granger Medical. Granger Medical becomes part of an Accountable Care Organization. Lance Colby joins Granger Medical as Chief Operating Officer. President Mary Jane Pennington, MD, is named Entrepreneur of the Year finalist for the Utah region.

2013: David C. Tanner joins Granger Medical as new Chief Executive Officer, replacing Josh Nelson, who served as CEO for 13 years. Granger Medical opens its Draper location, including Corner Canyon Obstetrics & Gynecology, Sept. 16.

2012: Urgent Care opens in West Jordan, October.

2011: Granger Medical holds a grand opening health fair and 5k with Elizabeth Smart at its new West Jordan clinic, Aug. 20.

2010: Granger Medical breaks ground for its new West Jordan building, April 13.

2008: Granger Medical hosts a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for its new Riverton location, Feb. 22; the clinic officially opens in September.

2005: Granger Medical moves to electronic medical records, July 1.

2004: Granger Medical holds a 50th Anniversary Celebration extravaganza with over 85 employees helping at the event and approximately 300-500 attendees, on Sept. 18. Granger Medical gets back into the business of owning and running its own lab on April 16, beginning with the 16-18 most common tests.

2003: Granger Medical West Valley’s “After Hours Clinic” officially changes to “Urgent Care” on Nov. 1.

2000: Saturday clinic opens at Granger Medical West Jordan (Jordan Medical Arts) in September.

1998: Current West Valley location building opens. Mary Jane Pennington, MD, becomes the organization president.

1992: Granger Medical has grown to 21 providers.

1954: Dr. Lavere Poulsen and Dr. Glenn Wilson established their medical practice as the first physicians in Utah west of the Jordan River. They sought to serve the communities in the growing area of what was then known as Granger, Utah.
