Mary Jane Pennnington, MD
President and CEO
Dr. Pennington has served as the president of Granger Medical Clinic for 20 years, playing an integral role in the clinic’s growth. She is also CEO of Physicians Accountable Care of Utah, the ACO that was developed in 2013 by Granger Medical Clinic, Wasatch Internal Medicine, and Foothill Family Clinic.
PACU’s 2015 results showed that our expenditure per beneficiary is the sixth lowest in the country among ACO’s participating in the Medicare MSSP program, with a quality score of 99.11 percent out of 100. We continue to work on expanding our care program activities at Granger Medical that have resulted in a 5 percent decrease in hospital inpatient costs in 2016.
Dr. Pennington earned her BS from Duke University, and her MD from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis. She has served as the president of Granger Medical while also maintaining a part-time pediatric practice in Riverton, Utah. She and her husband of 32 years have three daughters (a pediatric resident in Seattle, a NICU nurse, and a recent engineering graduate).

Claire Chitwood
Chief Operating Officer
Claire Chitwood joined Granger Medical Clinic in 2017 as Chief Operating Officer. She brought with her a substantiated record of cultivating physician relationships, increasing service offerings across the local region and state, optimizing revenue, and streamlining operations.
Claire’s experience includes orchestrating an organizational financial turnaround, saving millions of dollars while simultaneously increasing clinic net revenue through improved patient access and billing audits.
Improving clinic operations while saving company money has been a consistent theme in Claire’s work. However, the most important thing to her is our patient satisfaction. She is dedicated to mentoring clinic managers and team members by developing training programs and motivating others to serve. She understands that supporting and taking care of her team is key to Granger’s mission of providing exceptional care. No one is “just an employee” to Claire. She makes a concerted effort to get to know each one and make them feel like an important part of the Granger organization.
In her spare time, she enjoys just about anything outdoors, playing the piano, reading, and staying up-to-date on the latest organizational and individual behavioral studies.

Robert Condie
Chief Financial Officer
Robert Condie recently joined Granger Medical Clinic as Chief Financial Officer. Rob has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting from Arizona State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He also has a Master’s degree in Information Systems from Brigham Young University. He comes to us with a wealth of experience in financial management and strategic short-term and long-term planning.
Rob prides himself on being a hands-on leader and trusted business partner who is approachable by every member of his team. He is not afraid to take risks, but he strongly believes that being fully informed of all risk-reward tradeoffs is the key to good financial decision making. He excels at tackling difficult and complex problems by listening to all points of view and carefully weighing each option before making a decision. Rob’s strength is identifying profit leaks and formulating a plan to capture those profits, making our organization more efficient and lucrative.
Outside of work, Rob enjoys spending time with his family, reading, cooking, all things BYU sports, and cheering for the Utah jazz.
