Mary Jane Pennington, MD
President and CEO
Dr. Pennington has served as the president of Granger Medical Clinic for 20 years, playing an integral role in the clinic’s growth. She is also CEO of Physicians Accountable Care of Utah, the ACO that was developed in 2013 by Granger Medical Clinic, Wasatch Internal Medicine, and Foothill Family Clinic.
PACU’s 2015 results showed that our expenditure per beneficiary is the sixth lowest in the country among ACO’s participating in the Medicare MSSP program, with a quality score of 99.11 percent out of 100. We continue to work on expanding our care program activities at Granger Medical that have resulted in a 5 percent decrease in hospital inpatient costs in 2016.
Dr. Pennington earned her BS from Duke University, and her MD from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis. She has served as the president of Granger Medical while also maintaining a part-time pediatric practice in Riverton, Utah. She and her husband of 32 years have three daughters (a pediatric resident in Seattle, a NICU nurse, and a recent engineering graduate).

Rob prides himself on being a hands-on leader and trusted business partner who is approachable by every member of his team. He is not afraid to take risks, but he strongly believes that being fully informed of all risk-reward tradeoffs is the key to good financial decision making. Rob’s strength is identifying profit leaks and formulating a plan to capture those profits, making our organization more efficient and lucrative.
Outside of work, Rob enjoys spending time with his family, reading, cooking, all things BYU sports, and cheering for the Utah jazz.
