Getting Ready for Your Visit
Gather necessary insurance paperwork
At Granger Medical, most insurance plans are accepted, which allow patients to stay with us and receive care even if insurance coverage changes. Some of the insurance plans accepted include the following: United Healthcare, PEHP, SelectHealth, Humana, Altius, Blue Cross, Aetna and others. For a comprehensive list of various insurance providers please contact our office.
Scheduling your appointment
Any new patients need to arrive at appointments a bit early to complete the registration process. Along with arriving early, please bring the following information:
- Photo identification
- Current insurance card(s)
- Copayment (as necessary)
- List of medications and allergies
- Referral (as necessary)
- CT Scans, MRI reports, X-rays, medical records and operation records from past doctor appointments
- Patients with high deductible plans may be asked to pay $75 at the time of visit, which will go towards the total bill.
Payments and fees
At Granger Medical, your whole healthcare team works to reduce the cost of medical care. This is why it is essential to arrange payment for all services when they are received, unless other arrangements are made. You can pay with Visa, MasterCard, checks or cash. We are happy to bill accepted insurances for you. However, it is important to keep in mind that payment is ultimately the patient’s responsibility. We will work with you in handling claims as much as possible.
Renewals and prescriptions
Please request all prescription refills or various authorizations during the usual office hours, when all medical records can be accessed. If a renewal is requested at any other time, it will only be filled under emergent or extreme circumstances. It is essential to request a refill prior to completely running out of a medication, since a request can wind up being denied in some cases. Most prescription refill requests will take at least 24 hours to process.
