Adrianne Shewell, DNP, WHNP

Adrianne is a native of Utah and grew up on a cattle ranch and has very fond memories of her childhood. She and her siblings played many sports as kids, and she went on to play volleyball on full athletic scholarship at the University of Hawaii and then the University of Utah. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications she lived in California and Texas for a few years but eventually made it back to the great state of Utah. She joins Riverton OBGYN from Planned Parenthood. She attended the University of Utah for both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice.

Adrianne believes in treating her patient as a whole person and focuses on preventative health care including the physical, emotional, and mental health needs of her patients. She enjoys building relationships and wants her patients to feel like they’re being heard and not rushed. She is known for her non-judgmental and caring approach and desires her patients to live a better life because they know they have a health care provider that truly cares about their well-being.

Adrianne worked in Labor & Delivery as a nurse for many years and enjoyed being a part of the birthing experience. She also worked in the operating room as a nurse and assisted with a variety of procedures including women’s health, cesarean sections, cosmetics, pediatrics, ENT, orthopedics, endoscopy, dental and other general surgery cases. Her experiences have prepared her to provide evidence-based care to all her patients.

Adrianne has a loving husband, 4 children, and a mini golden doodle. She spends a lot of time traveling around the country enjoying the various sporting events her children participate in. Most weekends are filled with baseball games, volleyball matches, or basketball tournaments.

Adrianne has spent many years teaching volleyball to a variety of youth groups and teams. She and her husband have coached together and enjoy watching their players grow, not only physically, but learn the importance of teamwork and being a good teammate.
