Granger Medical Clinic Welcomes Douglas Vogeler, MD To The Family

Granger Medical Clinic is pleased to announce the addition of a new provider. Douglas Vogeler, MD, is a family medicine physician with a long-time practice out of Sandy, Utah. He is a graduate of Cornell Medical College, where he completed his degree in 1975. He completed his residency through the University of Utah Family and Community Medicine Program, where he later completed additional schooling to receive a master’s in public health in 1990. He is Board Certified in family medicine Dr. Vogeler is a world traveler and speaks French, Spanish, and English. While at Cornelle, Dr. Vogeler worked in a missionary hospital in Kenya.

Dr. Vogeler joins Granger Medical in September at his long-time practice location at 8706 S 700 E #203, Sandy, UT, 84070. We are excited to add another convenient location for our patients, and patients can find site information on our website under “Granger Family Medicine – Sandy.”

Dr. Vogeler has been practicing family medicine in Sandy as a solo practitioner since 1979, assisted by his nurse practitioner. Dr. Vogeler enjoys all aspects of primary care, from caring for babies to aging adults. He cherishes the personal relationships he has developed with all of his patients over the years, and will continue to see his long-time patients as he adds new Granger patients to his practice. His emphasis is on preventative care, with a focus on helping those he serves manage cholesterol, hypertension, and diabetes. Dr. Vogeler can care for almost any acute problem, even extending to small, in-office surgeries. Dr. Vogeler’s practice mission blends well with the Granger goal of “Exceptional Care, One Patient at a Time.” He says, “As an office, our goal is to provide first-class medical care in a caring, timely, and cost-efficient environment. We strive to know our patients and to provide friendly personalized family care.”

Dr. Vogeler married his wife, Susan, in 1982. They raised two beautiful daughters who followed their father’s footsteps and now work in the medical field, and Dr. Vogeler has one spoiled granddaughter and is looking forward to being a grandpa many more times. He is a big proponent of preventative medical care and living a healthy lifestyle, and enjoys hiking, mountain biking, vegetable gardening, and spending time with friends and family.
