Corey Neerings, FNP-BC

Family Medicine

Corey initially joined Granger in 2018 at our main West Valley location working in Internal Medicine. Since then, he has worked in Population Health and in Family Medicine at our Tooele location. He is a native of Lehi, Utah and now lives in Grantsville, UT

Corey believes strongly in keeping people out of the hospital if at all possible. “Hospitals are for sick people” and after several years working in the ICU he transitioned to primary care specifically with the intent of helping patients prevent problems vs waiting until they were severe and focusing on treatment.

He maintains a policy of mutual honest and full disclosure and holds passionately to the philosophy that mutual agreement and understanding leads to the best possible outcomes for everyone involved.

Corey and his wife are rock and ice climbers and share a deep passion for regenerative agriculture and improvement of the food supply.
They are active ranchers in Grantsville and maintains their property and livestock including chickens, goats, horses, cows, and stock dogs.

Corey and his family are active members of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary and do many activities through them.

Experience:

The majority of Corey’s professional career has been in critical care. Primary areas of specialty and training being hearts and lungs.

He worked extensively in the Medical, Neuro and Burn ICU units at the University of Utah as well as on Shock Trauma, Thoracic and Respiratory ICUs at IMC.
