Kristen recently graduated, summa cum laude, with her Doctorate Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Baylor University. She is joining Dr. Dean Walker in orthopedics and sports medicine. Prior to completing her doctorate degree, she practiced as a registered nurse since 2011. Kristen is originally from Detroit Michigan but has lived all over the West Coast for the past 11 years. This experience has provided Kristen with a diverse career background including working in a wide scope of specialties, exposure to various cultures, and working at top 10 rated facilities.
My philosophy in life has always been “treat others the way you want to be treated” and that translates to my professional career. Working as a nurse for the past 12+ years has provided me with the experience of working closely to understand patient concerns, while also working to care for each patient holistically. You are not just a patient to me. You are a person who is looking to our team for professional guidance to help manage your concerns. My goal as your provider is to work together, with you, to help you understand your condition, along with providing you with up-to-date treatment options that best align with your care goals.
Kristen loves being with family and friends. She enjoys skiing, hiking, traveling, and live music. Her favorite foods are Mexican, Thai, and Mediterranean.
