Richard Scott, PA-C
Urgent Care
Richard has joined Granger Medical Clinic as an Urgent Care provider. He brings a diverse background in cardiology, surgery, and family practice. Originally from Spokane, Washington, Rich began his career by serving 12 years in the U.S. Air Force. After deciding to pursue his passion for health care, he transitioned out of the military to become a physician assistant.
Rich approaches medicine with a patient-first philosophy: “Treat the patient, use medication if necessary.” He emphasizes prevention, lifestyle, and building meaningful connections with his patients. He believes that effective care begins with trust and values shared decision-making and patient education as the foundation of empowerment. One of his guiding principles comes from a mentor who once told him, “At the end of the day, no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.”
Outside of work, Rich enjoys woodworking and playfully admits that annoying his wife is a favorite pastime. He’s also a loyal Las Vegas Raiders fan and occasionally finds time to go fishing. Though he calls himself a “keto hypocrite,” his favorite indulgences include cookies, apple fritters, and a good steak.
