Roscoe S. Nelson, MD

Dr. Roscoe S. Nelson is a highly experienced urologist with a passion for patient care and innovation. A native of north San Diego County, Dr. Nelson practiced in the North Phoenix area for 26 years before relocating to Utah to be closer to his family. He has been happily married to his wife Judy for 39 years, and together they have four children and three grandsons, all of whom have brought immense joy to their lives.

Dr. Nelson provides comprehensive urologic care and specializes in conditions that significantly enhance the quality of life for his patients. His areas of focus include BPH (Aquablation and Urolift procedures), female voiding dysfunction (including overactive bladder and incontinence), female hormone replacement therapy, no-needle/no-scalpel vasectomy, advanced prostate cancer management, and recurrent urinary tract infections. He is committed to working collaboratively with his colleagues at Summit Urology to ensure patients receive the best care possible.

With a patient-centered approach, Dr. Nelson thrives on building strong relationships and engaging directly with those he serves. In 2007, he launched his website, www.peedoc.com, to connect with patients worldwide, making a global impact through accessible urologic education and care.

Throughout his career, Dr. Nelson has held several leadership roles, including serving as Chief of Surgery and a member of the hospital’s Board of Trustees for over a decade. His dedication has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Top Doc Award, Compassionate Doctor Award, Three Best Rated Urologists in Phoenix and Glendale, and multiple Patient Choice Awards.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Nelson enjoys golf, marketing, making (and eating) pizza, and spending time with his family. He also dedicates time to volunteer work with organizations
