Welcome to Granger Dr Middleton

Granger Medical Clinic is happy to welcome George W. Middleton, Jr., MD to Summit Urology Group. A native of Salt Lake City Utah, Dr. Middleton earned a B.S. in Physics from the University of Utah in 1991.

He then earned his medical degree at St. Louis University School of Medicine on a Navy scholarship. Following a general surgery internship at St. Louis University Hospital, he attended the Naval Operational Medicine Institute in Pensacola, Fl., and subsequently completed two operational tours as a Naval Flight Surgeon with the Marine Corps. In 2006 he completed a residency in urology at Naval Medical Center San Diego. He did tours as a urologist in Yokosuka, Japan, and in Pensacola Florida, before finishing his career in the Navy at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, California, where he served as a staff urologist and Department Head of Urology from 2010 to 2016. In 2016 he retired from the Navy after 20 years, achieving the rank of Captain, and returned home to join Granger Clinic in Salt Lake City.

Summit Urology was created in 2015 and combined several urology practices around the Salt Lake Valley under the Granger umbrella. One of these practices was Middleton Urological Associates, so if Dr. Middleton’s name sounds familiar, it is because his father, George Middleton Sr., was a well-known and respected urologist in Salt Lake City for many years. He recently retired, and the younger Dr. Middleton is taking over his practice. We are thrilled to have the Middleton legacy continue with Granger Medical Clinic.
Dr. Middleton began seeing patients at the Summit Urology – Murray location in October. Summit Urology is Utah’s largest urology group with fourteen providers and eight locations from Bountiful to Lehi.
